We manage your renovation project from start to finish
As a full-service residential homebuilder we can take your renovation project from concept to completion, assembling a team that includes a designer and an architect, (if complex structural work is required), handpicked from our trusted network. Alternatively, we can collaborate with the consultants you bring to the project. While some clients may question the need for a designer, in our experience, the detailed planning and project drawings that a designer provides up front, can save you time and money down the road.
Our project management process is comprehensive; we’re with you from the initial concept meetings, through the permitting process to construction and final inspection. Every client is different in terms of how much they want to be involved in a project, and how much they want to know at each step. At Aslan, we adapt our approach to communication based on your needs and give you the option of receiving regular verbal overviews, or detailed written reports.
We pride ourselves on being approachable, and we make sure that we’re available to talk and answer your questions throughout the project. We believe that homeowners deserve to understand the technical issues that affect their design, timeline, and budget.
Quality control starts with our suppliers
Our quality control process starts from the moment we assemble your team. We handpick our subtrades to match your project needs, and review the design specifications and quality their work will need to meet. In addition, the site supervisor assigned to your project regularly inspects and supervises the work being done.
We offer flexible billing options
We give clients the flexibility of choosing a “cost plus” or “fixed cost” contract and then review your project accounting and contract performance with you on a regular basis. Our goal throughout the project is to find solutions that work for you: from design, to timelines, to budgeting.
What should you look for in a home renovation company?
Choose someone you feel you can trust and will enjoy working with for several months or more, depending on the size of your project.
Ask them for references and then be sure to call them. Ask how the builder handled problems, what the quality of their work was, and how good they were at keeping to their proposed budget and schedule. If they went substantially over budget or time, ask why.
Be aware of what your quote includes – is your builder handling all of your renovation project details from start to finish? Building is a price-focused business, but it’s also a relationship business, and the quote you receive from a contractor is just the start of your decision process.
